Here’s the information you need to know
about for Sunday, may 5, 2024!

a message from faith community nursing

What do you think/feel when you smell the aroma of baking cookies or freshly baked bread? What about when someone in the neighborhood is grilling? You can hardly resist the suggestion it gives, and soon others in the neighborhood are grilling as well. How many of us remember being awakened on Thanksgiving morning by the aroma of a stuffed turkey roasting in the oven? All irresistible! Such fragrances and aromas bring wonderful memories, comfort, and joy.

The apostle Paul told us that Jesus wants “the fragrance of Christ” to be released through us - an “aroma of life leading to life” - making Christ irresistible to the world. (2 Corinthians 2:14-17).

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God”.  (Ephesians 5:1-2)

help us pound out hunger!

You Can Help “Pound” Out Hunger in Marshall County by participating in our annual Community-Wide Food Drive benefitting the Marshall County Neighborhood Center Food Pantry.  Our goal is to provide 1,000 pounds of food to help feed people in our community.

There are three ways you can participate!  First, you can bring in food donations next Sunday! Second, sign up to help collect donations at Walmart and Kroger or sort donations at the Neighborhood Center on Saturday, May 18th.  Third, help spread the word about the food drive by passing out invitation cards to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers and encouraging them to help!  Invite cards can be found in the seat back pockets, on the tables in the Worship Center, and at the Welcome Center!   Register now to volunteer by clicking here.
